This is the main problem of malayalees... Everybody wants to download the movie but nobody needs to seed it. Thinking why should I increase our download rate and help others. Guys I also was thinking in the same way before understanding that, most of the service providers are not counting your uploaded data. So please don't be selfish... Please seed...

Just take example of this torrent. This one is having more than 2000leachers and only 25 seeders... This is because those who downloaded are not seeding the torrent...

Checkout these rips by http://thepiratebay.ee/user/YIFY/ , All are BRRips size around 500MBs, Even bollywoods rips are coming in HQ/LOW_SIZE.. But Malayalam and Tamil rips are still a 5 years back technology ;)

All western movies comes avg 1:45 hr, so 720p BRRips comes around 500-700 MB, 480p DVDRips comes in 300-500 MB with supreme quality

Avg running time of Indian movies are 2:10 hr , So its impossible to make less as Western Rips, But we can make it far better than now..

Here is the Tips,
-Do NOT use Xvid/DivX in AVI, use AVC in MP4/MKV. AVC is three times better than XviD.
-Do NOT use MP3, use AAC. A 64kbps AAC can give same quality of a 128kbps MP3.
-Do NOT use AC3 @ 448kbps for 6ch Audio, use AAC @ 192kbps 6ch
-Use Nominal 48-64Kbps AAC for Stereo.
-Use AVC @ Profile HIGH, RefFrame minimum 4

-Do NOT make CAMrips higher than 400MB, There is no use of increasing quality, it wont reflect in picture.
-A 720x304 DVDrip, 2:10 hr can easly riped at 450MB, without any (noticable) quality loss
-A 1280x544 BRrip, 2:10 hr can riped at 700MB!!

All you wanted is a best CPU/GPU, Todays avg machines are much capable. Then the ripper program, The best available is the StaxRip, an OpenSource!! Free!!!

You can Merge, Split, Crop, Add Subtitle ect...
Even your mobile videos can be ripped, just use AVC MP4 at Baseline Profile.
